And I'm back. Sorry for the long break. Once school started, I didn't have as much free time on my hands, so the application process took me a lot longer than I expected. But it's all done with now, and the waiting game begins.

So going backwards from my last post, my friends and I desperately needed to eat, hungover from the previous night's tipsy adventures in PB fueled by some local bar special of 5 dollars for a beer+shot. Friend suggested The Menu, which was a couple blocks from his place, so we walked over.

I usually eat a light breakfast of some cereal or yogurt/fruit before I start my day, so I really enjoy the rare times I am able to go out to eat whether it's some sit down place or McDonald's.

I was craving something green, so I went with the veggie omelet, choosing mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and green chiles with cheese. It came with a side of buttered wheat toast and potatoes.

I didn't like the potatoes too much, but a good dousing of Cholula perked it up. Everything else was good. And I really love toast. +1 star for it already being buttered so that I didn't have to do it myself =p

Mr. Magoo got the buckwheat blueberry pancakes.

The Cat in the Hat got the pancake, eggs, and potatoes breakfast.

Overall, a no nonsense sort of breakfast place that's filling and has decent prices. They also serve champagne and beer if you need a pick-me-up in the morning/are an alkie. Service was friendly and helpful.

Damn those buckwheat blueberry pancakes look so good...I think I'm going to make pancakes tomorrow because of this post. Notice how I am posting this comment at 3 in the morn. So I will probably have pancakes for lunch.
